At the Gault&Millau Culinary Innovators event 2024, Buloo was honored with the Product Award for food & drinks, showcasing their innovative approach in the culinary world. This recognition sets a spotlight on their innovative product of non-alcoholic beverages, positioning them as a game-changer in the industry. With an emphasis on craftsmanship, elegance, and a touch of gastronomy, Buloo has captured the attention of both customers and culinary professionals alike.

The inspiration behind Buloo

The inspiration for Buloo comes from chef's Pieter Lonneville, who wanted to surprise and delight customers while also meeting their growing demand for sophisticated non-alcoholic options. "As a chef, you always want to keep surprising your guests," chef Pieter shares. "With Buloo, we created an aperitif that is a sparkling, alcohol-free drink that is both refined and vibrant, made from fermented tea, herbs, and cherries. A true alternative to traditional champagne," explains Pieter

Expanding the Buloo Experience

In response to growing demand, Buloo is expanding its range with the introduction of BULOO UNIQ, launching in October. This line will feature a new flavor every six months, each produced in limited quantities. "Every batch of BULOO UNIQ is one-of-a-kind," they reveal, "taking you a step further into the world of Buloo." This initiative highlights Buloo's commitment to continuous innovation and its desire to keep pushing the boundaries of what non-alcoholic beverages can offer.

A trustworthy start

Winning the Gault&Millau award has been a significant milestone for Buloo, especially as a newcomer in the market. "An award from Gault&Millau exudes trust," the team explains. "As a startup, this is incredibly valuable. It reassures potential customers that our product meets the high standards they expect."

The perfect aperitif

Since receiving the award, Buloo has garnered positive feedback from peers, many of whom appreciate the ease of serving this sophisticated alternative. "Other non-alcoholic options can be labor-intensive and rarely provide the perfect aperitif experience. Buloo fills that gap effortlessly," they share.
